It might surprise you that well over a million people have had their lives transformed, or even saved, by stem cells — and Tony Robbins is one of them. He’s joined by world-class athletes like Tiger Woods, tennis champion Rafael Nadal, and the late Kobe Bryant, who have all utilized stem cell therapy to recover from sports injuries.
But it’s not just supreme athletes that are using stem cell superpowers to heal — everyday people who are suffering from serious injuries or disease are using them to heal tissues, restore organs, and bring back functionality. Compelling clinical results are being generated on a daily basis, proving stem cell therapy naysayers wrong.
Take a recent clinical study at Stanford University, where researchers were shocked when seven stroke victims showed dramatic improvement in motor function after having stem cells injected directly into their brains. Even more amazing, all of them were treated more than six months after their strokes, the point where damage is usually considered permanent.
The results of the stem cell treatments are astounding. One of the stroke victims, a 71-year-old wheelchair-bound man, could suddenly walk again. In another case, more than two years post-stroke, a 39-year-old woman improved so much that she regained the confidence to marry her boyfriend, and have a baby!
Stem Cells: The Body’s “Liquid Gold”
Put most simply, are the body’s repair kit, and they are extremely powerful. They deliver the raw material — the molecular signals and growth factors — that enable us to stave off disease, bounce back from injury, and live our lives with optimal energy and at peak performance.
Unlike other cells in the body, stem cells can divide and renew themselves for a lifetime and can differentiate into whatever type of cell our body needs. They can repair or replace specialized tissues, and strengthen our immune system to keep us healthy and strong.
But not all stem cells are created equal. Pluripotent stem cells are incredibly valuable, because they contain a complete set of the information that’s housed in our DNA, and can develop into almost any tissue or organ: skin or brain, heart or bones, lungs, pancreas, or bladder. By contrast, cord blood stem cells, extracted from umbilical cord blood, can differentiate only into different types of blood cells.
Pluripotent stem cells are found in early-stage embryos, and also in the placenta — an organ that up until recently, has been discarded once a woman has delivered her baby. Ethical questions aside, embryonic stem cells are often unsuitable for broad clinical applications, and placental stem cells are far superior for the development of medicines.
One man, Dr. Bob Hariri, is driving the charge to harvest pluripotent placental stem cells, in an audacious effort to bring the best and safest stem cell therapies to the U.S. mass market — and he’s well on his way.
Dr. Bob Hariri’s Crusade to Harvest Pluripotent Placental Stem Cells
Dr. Hariri, also known as Dr. Bob, is one of the world’s top neurosurgeons, scientists, innovators in microsurgery, and now, the champion of placental stem cell research and therapy. Since discovering that the placenta manufactures HUGE numbers of pluripotent stem cells decades ago, he has made it his life’s work to harvest, test, and preserve placental stem cells so they can be used in the future to regrow organs and repair damage.
He is also on a mission to make stem cell treatment widely available and affordable. With roughly 140 million births per year across the globe, placenta-derived stem cells are very plentiful and could eventually be made available to everyone, regardless of wealth or income. In fact, a single placenta supplies more than 100,000 therapeutic doses, exponentially more than umbilical cords or any other source.
In 2017, Dr. Bob teamed up with LIFE FORCE co-author Dr. Peter Diamandis to found Celularity, now a publicly-traded company on NASDAQ. This “biorefinery” is using placenta-derived natural killer cells to treat leukemias and other blood cancers, and once FDA approval is in place, will have the capacity to deliver millions of treatments for a myriad of other cancers.
He and Peter also partnered to create Fountain Life, a place for athletes, biohackers, and ordinary people to find the most advanced and effective treatments for health challenges in the world — a personal health coach, of sorts.
Tony has joined Peter and Dr. Bob as a cofounder, and together, they’ve opened six Fountain Life Centers across the U.S., and have also created Fountain OS — an app that can help you steer your healthspan journey using AI.
